This is a mockup for the new Ubuntu release Intrepid Ibex. If you like the designs please please email the Ubuntu design team to try to get a move on with moving Ubuntu into the 21st century. If you don't like some of the things on the design, please comment, i feel moving these kind of designs needs be a real community effort.

The only thing I don't really like is the amount of yellow. It looks like all of the notifications and menus are actually post-it notes. :/
Hopefully we'll see some skills like yours implemented in time for Karmic Koala
or Real theme

The theme is awesome. The wallpaper is not. It's too plain and too somber. If you replaced it with something brighter and more cheerful, then it would be an amazing mockup.
One of the things you notice about the default wallpapers for other successful OSes is that they all try to give you a sense of depth. I think this is because people react better to the visual illusion that they're not actually staring at a flat screen.
